Sustainable Energy Systems is seeking a motivated Field Designer Assistant to work alongside our Field Designer team, helping to evaluate residential rooftops and collect vital solar exposure data.

Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to project locations to take precise measurements and collect necessary data for solar panel installations.
- Measure and photograph roof dimensions, roof-top obstructions, and structural elements such as rafters and framing.
- Document your findings thoroughly, including photographs, roof measurements, and any relevant notes.
- Work safely on rooftops, utilizing ladders and safety gear; ensure accurate measurements in various environments.
- Assist with electrical systems (e.g., removing electrical panel covers as needed).
- Enter attics and confined spaces for full project evaluation.
- Collaborate with the Field Designer and communicate effectively with sales and design teams.
- Follow company vehicle policies while commuting to and from job sites.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Detail-oriented and highly organized with a keen eye for accuracy.
- Comfortable working in high places (on rooftops) and using ladders for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks while being part of a collaborative team.
- Familiarity with VICAD, Excel, and Google Drive for documenting and sharing data.
- Self-motivated and reliable, able to maintain documentation with attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- A positive attitude and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced industry.
Job Details:
- Full-time, year-round position with opportunities for growth and skill development.
- Starting pay: $34,476 annually, based on experience.
- Annual performance reviews for continued career progression.
- Paid sick leave: 6.5 days per year.
