Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with a focus on private equity, budgeting, and financial reporting. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy of financial records and compliance with regulations, as well as providing valuable insights through financial analysis.
Duties:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections
- Prepare and post journal entries to record financial transactions accurately
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Run payroll
- Prepare payroll taxes, DOR and B&O returns
- Capital asset management
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards
Requirements:
- Proven experience as Full Cycle Accountant (minimum 2 years)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is a plus
- Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in using QuickBooks
- Familiarity with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Ability to interpret financial reports
- Experience in public accounting is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
