Sutphen is seeking an electrical installer to join our growing team in Urbana, Ohio.
In this role, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining the electrical systems in fire trucks, including wiring, lighting, sirens, and communication devices. They ensure that all electrical components are functioning properly to support emergency responders. This role requires strong technical skills and attention to detail to ensure the safety, quality, and effectiveness of the fire apparatus and the people/property it protects.

Essential Job Functions
- Installation of various electrical devices
- Electrical assembly tasks to finish the truck for testing and customer inspection
- All wiring and workmanship to comply with established company standard
- Display responsible behaviors including attendance and punctuality, attention to details and following directions
- Work cooperatively with others to complete work assignments
- Plan and prioritize work to manage time effectively and accomplish assigned tasks
- Demonstrate a willingness to work and a commitment to effective job performance
- Receive direction and complete projects/ tasks to meet deadlines
- General assembly work as needed
- Ability to read a multimeter/voltmeter
- Ability to read manuals/directions & apply with comprehension
- Basic use of tools and experience in safely operating power tools (drills, saws, grinders, etc.)
- Detail oriented with a drive for quality work output
- Must be able to accurately read a tape measure
- Ability to use torque wrench and torque bolts to specs
