Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Groundskeeper to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the beauty and functionality of our outdoor spaces.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular lawn care and landscape maintenance to ensure a clean and attractive environment
- Trimming hedges
- Installing sprinkler and irrigation systems
- Preparing outdoor areas for various weather conditions by weatherproofing, covering outdoor furniture with tarps, tying down unsecured items, etc.
- Maintaining gardens and lawns, including planting, fertilizing, weeding, soil conditioning, mulching and applying pesticides
- Operating and maintaining garden and landscaping tools and equipment
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various landscaping tasks.
- Irrigate gardens and landscaped areas to promote healthy plant growth.
- Maintain garden beds, including planting, weeding, and pruning as necessary.
- Monitor plant health and implement pest control measures when required.
- Assist in the design and layout of new landscaping projects as needed.
- Ensure all groundskeeping equipment is maintained in good working condition.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in lawn care and landscape maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of gardening techniques and plant care.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Physical stamina for performing manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of irrigation systems is a plus.
