Job Title: Varsity Girls Soccer Head CoachLocation: Sutton High SchoolEmployment Type: StipendStart Date: August 2025Position Overview: The Sutton High School Athletic Department is seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable, anddedicated Varsity Girl's Soccer Head Coach to lead and build upon our highlysuccessful girls soccer program. The ideal candidate will be committed to fosteringathletic excellence, teaching valuable skills, and promoting a positive and inclusive teamculture. The Head Coach will oversee the teams development, manage coaching staff,and work collaboratively with players, parents, and administration to create a successfuland positive experience for all involved.Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement training programs to improve team performance,individual skills, and overall fitness. Lead and manage all aspects of the Varsity Girl's Soccer team, includingpractices, games, and team events.
Coach players in the fundamentals of soccer, strategy, and sportsmanship whileencouraging teamwork and character development. Organize and facilitate pre-season conditioning, practices, and team-buildingactivities. Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school staff aboutschedules, expectations, and progress. Manage game day logistics, including preparation, and supervision.
Monitor the academic progress of athletes and ensure a balance betweenathletics and academics. Work closely with the athletic department to maintain soccer equipment andfields. Uphold and enforce school, district, and league policies and procedures.Qualifications: Prior coaching experience in soccer, preferably at the high school level (headcoaching experience is preferred). Knowledge of soccer techniques, strategies, and rules.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to inspire and motivate athletes to achieve their potential on and off thefield.
