Job Title: Sub-Varsity Softball CoachLocation: Sutton Middle/High SchoolJob Type: StipendStart Date: March 17, 2025Job Overview: Sutton Middle/High School is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and motivated individual tojoin our softball program as a Sub-Varsity Coach. It is undetermined at this time whether theteam will be a Junior Varsity or an exclusively Middle School team.Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement practice plans focused on improving individual skills and teamfundamentals. Coach athletes in all aspects of the game, including hitting, fielding, pitching, and baserunning. Manage the games and practices and ensure that athletes have a positive andsupportive experience.
Work closely with athletes to build confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Support the development of a strong work ethic and a competitive mindset in theathletes. Communicate regularly with athletes and parents regarding progress, team updates, andupcoming events. Collaborate with the Head Coach to ensure alignment between the sub-varsity andvarsity programs.Qualifications: Previous experience in coaching softball, either as a coach or player, is preferred.
Knowledge of softball fundamentals, strategies, and training techniques. Passion for working with young athletes and a commitment to their development. Strong communication and organizational skills. Must be available for after-school practices, games, and other team events.
