Position Summary:
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for administering all aspects of weekly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal/state/local regulations and union contracts. This role will support both non-union and union payroll administration, including salary updates, timecard processing, tax payments, deductions, and benefits administration. The Payroll Administrator will also assist the Payroll Manager with benefits payables and bill reconciliation.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Weekly Payroll Administration
- Collect, process, and enter employee timecards into the payroll system.

Calculate and provide employee deductions, tax payments, and contributions for verification and approval.
- Process weekly, monthly, and quarterly tax payments.
- Submit annual federal, state, and local tax payments.
- Perform weekly wage garnishments and submit for payment.
- Deduct benefits premiums and relations deductions.
- Update all non-union employee salaries, rates, and fringe benefits in ComputerEase.

Union Administration
- Enter union pay rates and fringe benefits into the accounting system in accordance with the union contract agreement.
- Generate and provide certified payroll reports as required by union agreements.
- Prepare and submit monthly union reports and weekly payroll reports for management review and approval.

Benefits Administration Support
- Assist the Payroll Manager with employee benefits administration.
- Handle benefits payables and bill reconciliation.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Payroll Manager.
Minimum Requirements
- 3 Years payroll administration experience.
- Associates degree in a relevant field or commensurate experience.
- Strong understanding of payroll best practices and legal compliance.
- Proficient in Accounting and Payroll software.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screens and background check.
Preferred Attributes
- Previous experience working with a union contractor.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with proven record of completing detail-driven tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative team environment.
- 3 years working with group health, 401k, and other benefits.
- Previous experience working for a government contractor.
Workdays & Shifts:
- Monday-Friday, 8am - 5pm. May be required to work outside core operating hours as requested.
Education/Certification(s)/License(s):
- Associates degree in a relevant field or commensurate experience.
