Position Summary:

The Assistant Hub Manager is a key member of our Sweetie Boy Delivers division. You will work closely with the Hub Manager to manage and support the operations of our distribution hub. This role involves coordinating the activities of staff, ensuring compliance with safety and operational procedures, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during daily operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily hub operations: Support the Hub Supervisor in overseeing the distribution and logistics operations, ensuring smooth workflow and meeting daily performance targets.
• Staff management: Supervise and support a team of car coordinators, lot attendants and other operational staff, providing guidance, coaching, and ensuring adherence to company policies.
• Quality control and process improvement: Monitor operational processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and safety.
• Safety compliance: Ensure all operations comply with safety standards and regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and address any hazards immediately.
• Inventory and stock management: Assist in managing inventory flow and ensuring that stock levels meet operational needs.
• Troubleshooting and problem resolution: Address operational challenges, resolve discrepancies, and work to resolve any issues that may impact the hub's efficiency.
• Documentation and reporting: Maintain accurate records of operational activities, staff performance, and any incidents that occur. Prepare and submit reports as required.
• Training and development: Assist in training new employees and ensuring that all staff are up-to-date on operational processes, safety protocols, and company policies.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required. A degree in business, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in basic computer programs (Microsoft Office Suite, etc.).
• Knowledge of inventory management, and safety regulations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as needed.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and conditions.
