We are currently seeking a passionate and motivated Aquatics Coordinator to join our growing team. This position will work directly with the Aquatics Manager to support the daily operations of our program, assist in scheduling and instructor coverage, maintain high levels of communication with staff and families, and step into the pool to teach or cover shifts as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Aquatics Manager in the administrative tasks of running the swim school, including instructor scheduling and shift coverage
- Communicate proactively with instructors, families, and management to ensure consistent program quality and customer satisfaction
- Serve as a key liaison between instructors and parents, helping families understand their child’s progress and how they can support their learning
- Teach swim lessons weekly (10-20 hours/week), including serving as an on-call or substitute instructor when needed
- Support the training and onboarding of new swim instructors alongside the Aquatics Manager
- Help maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the pool area, including daily checklists and equipment inspections
- Ensure that instructors are following poolside protocols and maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Monitor and communicate any facility issues to management, including problems with pool equipment or maintenance needs
- Promote a positive, team-oriented atmosphere among instructors and staff
Who You Are:
You are enthusiastic, organized, and committed to water safety and swim education. You enjoy teaching kids, supporting your team, and creating a welcoming environment for both staff and families.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in swim instruction or coaching
- Prior experience in a leadership or team coordination role is strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong ability to manage time, problem-solve, and think proactively
- Basic knowledge of pool equipment and safety procedures is a plus
- Comfortable with technology and scheduling software
- High school diploma required; BA/BS in a related field or teaching/coaching certifications a bonus
Position Details:
- Job Type: Part-time or Full-time
- Schedule: Must be available 3-4 evenings per week and either Saturday or Sunday
- Pay: $16.00 - $22.00/hour (DOE)
