What Does a Distribution Manager do at Swire Coca-Cola? The Distribution Manager leads a team of supervisors and drivers, keeping them engaged and safe is a top priority. A Distribution manager looks for the most efficient and effective ways to get product from our warehouses to our customers working with Sales while making sure that his/her team members stay within their regulated DOT hours. He or she is responsible for communicating any fleet issues to ensure our equipment on the road is in good and safe working order.Responsibilities:
Routing – ensure efficient delivery sequencing, and that all routes get delivered
Work with Sales and Merch and drivers and receive feedback and take actions to improve service and cost for future routes
Coach, train, develop current employees and ensure staffing levels are met through hiring
Support Region or Company wide Distribution Optimization initiatives
Samsara – Making sure that there is no unassigned drive time for vehicles, making sure that drivers are completing their DVIRs, making sure that drivers are compliant with HOS
Ensuring our equipment is safe to operate and our employees know how to work safely, ensuring employees are up to date with all safety training
Understanding DOT regulations and ensuring that equipment is up to standards
Ensuring that drivers have up to date JJ Keller files, vehicle registrations are kept up to date
Fuel reconciliation
Reviewing timesheets, managing to a payroll budget, vacation scheduling
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma (or GED) required
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Class A CDL License preferred
4-6 years supervisory experience required
2-4 years distribution experience in direct store delivery environment required
Beverage industry experience preferred
Strong presentation skills
Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with other departments & functions
Valid drivers license and clean driving record within MVR policy guidelines
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel & Powerpoint
General understanding of how Commercial tractor- trailers work
Understanding of DOT regulations
