RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure streamline operations to meet customer quality and delivery expectations
- Anticipates and determines causes of delays in shift operations and takes appropriate action to meet shipping schedules
- Escalates promptly to Plant Manager any delays that occur with plan of action for maintaining delivery schedule and eliminating potential for recurrence
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance departments to maintain equipment in safe and effective working condition
- Proactively executes quality expectations and assumes responsibility for any actions needed due to nonconformances, while supporting Quality department in all customer issues and complaints
- Identifies areas for financial and productivity improvements and executes robust solutions
- Collaborates Management team in the identification, selection, and development of plant personnel
- B.S. in Engineering or related degree.
- 5-10 years experience in manufacturing with demonstrated successful history in the management of people
- Demonstrate efficient and effective utilization of plant assets to achieve the Business Unit goals for the plant. Plant improvements in income and cost reductions thru the deployment of projects related to the Business Unit’s goals and CI initiatives
- Demonstrate track record in implementing operational excellence strategies.
- Must have past supervisor experience, and excellent communicator.
- Strong computer skills, SAP or other ERP systems
- Analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast paced environment with strict deadlines is required. Self- starter, self directed, highly motivated, and good problem solver.
- Project management and organizational skills
- Must have flexible schedule to support 24/7 operation
- Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs
- Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices
- Location: Shelbyville, TN
- Schedule: Day shift with a flexible schedule
