POSITION : Contract, 12mos
LOCATION : Peoria, IL (Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week)
AUTHORIZATION : W-2 or C2C
RATE : $18-21ph W2 Benefits / $

The main function of a buyer is to purchase machinery, equipment, tools, parts, supplies or services necessary for the operation of an establishment. A typical buyer is responsible for buying goods and services for use by their company or organization.Typical task breakdown :
This role will be accountable for working with service owners to understand requirements, raise spend approval requests, managing requisitions & ordering, Invoice processing & grief resolution, and Supplier managementDay to Day % breakdown :
40% Supplier management : performance, quality, negotiation, etc.30% Purchasing : bids, quotes, purchase orders, etc.30% Shipment management : monitoring shipments, quality, etc.Work environment :
Hybrid or fully onsiteEducation & Experience Required :
Bachelors degree in related field (supply chain, finance, business admin, etc.) w / 0-2 years of experience (internships will be considered)Associates degree in related field (supply chain, finance, business admin, etc.) w / 2-4 years of experience (internships will be considered)Technical Skills

Ability to analyze price proposals and other technical dataAbility to accurately document and record customer / client informationKnowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to purchasingKnowledge of supply chain management – particularly ordering process and hardware supply chainsPrevious experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and ExcelDesired)
