Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support the Property Manager in overseeing the daily operations of our residential or commercial properties. You will play a crucial role in maintaining tenant satisfaction while ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations.
Duties
- Assist in managing property leasing processes, including tenant applications and lease agreements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to property management activities.
- Provide exceptional customer service to tenants and prospective residents, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and company policies.
- Support the Property Manager in negotiating lease terms and renewals with tenants.
- Utilize property management software to track leases, payments, and maintenance requests.
- Coordinate maintenance requests.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance requirements.
- Assist in marketing efforts for vacant units, including conducting property showings and open houses.
Experience
- Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within real estate or property management.
- Familiarity with legal administrative tasks related to leasing agreements and tenant relations.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations is essential for ensuring compliance in all leasing activities.
- Strong negotiation skills to effectively manage lease agreements and tenant interactions.
- Proficiency in AppFolio or similar property management software is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building positive relationships with tenants and stakeholders.
- A background in sales can be beneficial for marketing vacant units effectively.
- Bilingual a plus.
