Summary

Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and proactive support in all areas of HR including talent acquisition, talent management, total rewards, and employee relations/engagement
- Hands-on leader with strong ability to build, lead and manage a team of dedicated HR professionals
- Recommend, create, and continuously review HR policies and procedures to ensure alignment with organizational needs, values, and culture across SYM’s five offices
- Implement employee engagement strategies, leadership development programs, and effective communication channels to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with culture across the workforce
- Drive an evidence-based approach to employee experience and build metrics that yield the insights necessary to guide and measure employee experience programs
- Oversee the performance management cycle and provide direction on improving coaching, career development, and disciplinary actions
- Support the search and acquisition of high-performing talent and provide a best-in-class recruitment and onboarding experience
- Implement and optimize talent management systems, standards, and tools to obtain workforce performance, desired culture, and individual effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with regulations and employment standards
Qualifications
- 15 years of human resources experience including a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR SHRM certification, or an equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible work experience. Experience in the professional service industry with a 50-200 employee company is preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in business and talent strategy, workforce planning, data and analytics, and talent management
- Proven track record of progression to roles of increasing responsibility and management of others
- Excellent consultative interpersonal skills including the ability to build trust across the organization while championing core values
- Strong analytical, data, and technology skills as well as the ability to exercise good judgment
- Understanding of current HR challenges in the marketplace and contemporary HR practices and issues
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements related to functional areas of human resources
- Demonstrated knowledge of compensation and factors that play a key role in comp decision-making processes
