Description
- Will be part of a team to differentiate and characterize cellular models derived from human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), and to perform genetic perturbations (KD, KO, KI, overexpression) in iPSC-derived cells for drug discovery applications :
- Maintain iPSC cell culture, perform differentiate and QC characterization in supporting assay development and translational studies.
- Perform detection of biomarker changes using various assay methods, such as ELISA, Western, imaging, RT-PCR.
- Utilize various transfection / transduction methods to knockdown or overexpress target genes in differentiated cells.
- Analyze and summarize experimental data using a variety of laboratory instrumentation and computer software's.
- Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks according to company guidelines, and present data to colleagues or in team meetings.
- Primary tasks will include large scale DNA purification and QC, expression vector preparation for large scale transient transfections, confirmatory DNA sequence analysis, and plasmid design and construction.
- Expected to maintain accurate and organized records and to prepare archiving documents.

Technical Certification Bonus : Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
