A leading engineering firm is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer to support water / wastewater automation and control system projects. This role will focus on Revit-based design, control system layouts, and instrumentation selection while working closely with senior engineers. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in I&C engineering and be proficient in Revit for electrical and control system design. This is a remote role based in Austin, TX, with occasional travel as needed.
Responsibilities :
- Develop control system designs using Revit, including panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs.
- Assist in the selection and specification of instrumentation, sensors, and automation equipment.
- Support the development of PLC, SCADA, and HMI system designs.
- Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and process engineers to integrate control systems.
- Review vendor drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Support system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning efforts.
- Prepare technical documentation, control narratives, and bill of materials.
- Ensure designs meet ISA, NEC, NFPA, and industry standards.
- Participate in client meetings, providing technical input and design updates.
