In this position, you will serve a critical role in helping us execute advanced technology projects and conduct space launch programs for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and other government agencies.
We are looking for a candidate who combines strong communication, organization, and management skills with broad interests and experience in the aerospace industry. As a key member of a small, dynamic, and highly skilled team, you will be expected to actively collaborate with others as well as work independently to accomplish assignments and responsibilities successfully. Creativity and methodical problem solving are both required.
What You Will Do:
· Conduct combustion testing of solid rocket motors, igniters, and other mission critical components in support of multiple programs.
· Ensure that all test operations meet test objectives and are conducted safely and in accordance with company policies.
· Develop engineering documentation such as requirements documents, test plans, test procedures, and assembly drawings and procedures, schematics, and design reviews.
· Design, develop, and maintain data acquisition and control architecture and other ground support equipment.
· Design, fabricate, and integrate physical hardware including wire harnesses, PCBs, custom enclosures, PLCs, data acquisition systems, and instrumentation.
· Assemble, disassemble, and evaluate test articles including the handling of ordinance.
· Interpret collected data and analyze components post-test for performance evaluation or to diagnose anomalous events · Participate in test readiness reviews, design reviews, and data presentations.
· Participate in test readiness reviews, design reviews, and post-test data presentations.
· Operate basic hand and power tools.
· Physical demands include lifting up to 50lbs, extensive walking, and exposure to the elements.
· Develop budgets and schedules for projects.
· Support all phases of manufacturing, assembly and test of your designs.
What You Need to Have:
· 3 years of experience in related role in aerospace, automotive or related industry
· B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering
· Understanding of National Instruments based data acquisitions and LabView desired.
· Possess ability to generate and interpret technical drawings, including P&IDs and wiring schematics.
· Demonstrated experience in modern CAD and analysis tools.
· Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
· Demonstrate good time management skills.
· Work well with others in a distributed matrix organization.
· Must be a US Persons as defined by § 120.62 of the ITAR
