Job Title: Hygiene Production Assistant
Location: Naugatuck, Connecticut
Hours / Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $18 - $20 per hour depending on experience, plus $2K bonus and generous benefits package
Responsibilities
CLEANING & SANITATION
- Wash and sanitize production trays, racks, bins and accessories
- Clean walk off sanitation mats
- Collect trash in production and warehouse areas and place in collection bin
- Document cleaning on designated logs
- Ensure that cleaners in the washing area are clearly labeled
SECONDARY RESPONSIBLITIES
- Assist Manufacturing
- Preparing trays and cartons for packing
- Packing and metal detection of finished products
- Spread granulated product onto trays
- Weigh and pack finished products (as needed)
- Apply labels on packaged product containers (as needed)
- Cross train to assist and back-up Quality Plant Hygienist with various facility cleaning activities.
- Other duties as assigned
- High School diploma is required
- Valid Driver’s License & car required
- Cleaning experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Must be able to safely lift 50lbs
- Self-motivated, able to perform work while standing for most of the day
- Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team
