Key Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise and Hands-On Duties
- Project Execution: Work closely with the Highway Manager to supervise projects from inception to completion, making certain of optimal resource utilization and strict adherence to timelines and budgetary outlines.
- System Installations and Maintenance: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of highway electrical systems, such as traffic signals and streetlights, coordinating with various contractors to ensure the work meets the industry and safety standards.
- Blueprint Analysis: Demonstrate expertise in reading and interpreting construction blueprints and schematics to efficiently plan and execute electrical scopes of work.
Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution
- Diagnostic Expertise: Apply your diagnostic skills to troubleshoot and maintain different electrical and power distribution systems, ensuring they function optimally and safely.
- Problem Isolation: Swiftly identify and isolate issues, directing timely interventions to maintain system efficacy and prevent potential complications.
Mentorship and Development
- Leadership in Training: Lead mentorship initiatives, fostering a culture of collaborative learning and constructive feedback, especially for team members with different backgrounds in electrical or construction labor.
- Coaching/Mentoring: Serve as a mentor, encouraging team members to reach their full potential and contribute effectively to achieving the team's goals.
Who We're Looking For:
Educational Background
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a highway electrical role.
- History of successfully managing crews in high-demand construction environments.
Licensing Requirements
- Journeyman Electrician License
- A valid driver's license
- A CDL license (or willingness to obtain one within 90 days of working at T.E.M.)
