Key Responsibilities:
- Research & Client Strategy Development
- Conduct thorough research on each client to create tailored PR strategies, calendars, and targeted campaigns.
- Identify relevant awards, partnerships, sponsorships, and events that align with client goals and enhance visibility.
- Press Release Development
- Craft and distribute press releases that showcase client achievements, certifications, or significant developments, ensuring alignment with their brand.
- Media Outreach
- Research and develop targeted pitches for local media, news outlets, blogs, podcasts, conferences, and other relevant platforms.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, bloggers, hosts, and influencers to secure impactful media placements.
- Client Communications
- Regularly engage with clients face-to-face, ensuring consistent communication and alignment on PR objectives and strategies.
- Media Preparation
- Provide media training and preparation for clients, including creating talking points, interview questions, media kits, and other prep materials to ensure clear, effective messaging.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration with Social Media
- Work closely with social media teams to ensure PR activities align with overall marketing strategies, supporting consistent messaging across all channels and enhancing community content.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of public relations experience, with a focus on media relations, community outreach, and partnership building.
- Plus; if you have a background in the Finance, Insurance, or Tech spaces.
- Strong knowledge of the local media landscape and established media connections.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills, with experience in crafting press releases, pitches, and media preparation materials.
- Proficiency in conducting comprehensive research to support PR initiatives.
- Ability to create and present media reports to clients, showcasing campaign effectiveness.
- Proven experience in coordinating PR strategies with social media efforts.
- A strategic, proactive mindset with a knack for identifying new PR opportunities and fostering relationships.
- Experience using Google Suite (Google Sheets, Docs etc.), Monday, and Canva.
