Summary Job Description
The Sales Manager - Business is a key team leader for the future growth of our business. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Sales, the Sales Manager will be responsible for growing the Tachus subscriber network by leading a business sales team in all sales activities to contribute to the overall success of the team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a proven track record in sales and sales leadership, and the ability to drive results in a competitive market.
Direct Responsibilities
- Hire, train, coach and develop a high-performing team of Business Sales Representatives to sell Tachus’ products and services
- Grow the Tachus subscriber base through leading, mentoring and motivating teams of sales representatives to achieve and exceed assigned sales targets
- Actively participate in field-based sales efforts, including ride-along trips, client visits, and events to support and guide the teams in-the-field activities
- Set individual and team sales goals and track weekly/monthly performance metrics and review with team and leadership
- Conduct regular training sessions for the sales team to enhance product knowledge and sales skills
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
- Provide timely activity and sales analysis updates to the Sr. Director of Sales
- Audit recurring commission report for approval
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective sales materials
- Work closely with the marketing event team leadership in all external consumer facing events
- Evaluate and review performance of sales team utilizing Salesforce CRM results
- Source, develop, and close commercial opportunities in the MDU/bulk space.
Skills And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
- Five (5) or more years of experience in leadership driving business to consumer (B2C) and business to business (B2B) teams to succeed in customer growth, revenue, and cash flow KPI’s with a focus on planning and execution.
- Documented track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Telecom sales and leadership experience highly desired
- Proficiency in CRM Software (Salesforce) and sales analytics tools.
- Experienced leadership skills and ability to set high performance standards while leading team members’ progression towards goals.
- Strong project management skills, with an ability to independently manage resources, budgets, and personnel with attention to detail.
- Creative, innovative, and able to think outside the box.
- Confident and dynamic personality with an ability to interact directly and frequently with various team members and peers.
- Expert computer skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Salesforce CRM and HubSpot
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Thrives in a cross-functional, team-based environment.
- Travel will be frequent between customer and events sites and business in the greater Houston area requiring a reliable vehicle and the ability the sit and stand for long periods of time.
- Physical activities include, but not limited to climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, and lifting items (up to 35 pounds).
