Tachus LLC (Tachus) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our team. The Purchasing Agent will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely & accurate sourcing of ~ $20M in annual inventory product.  This role involves tasks ranging from vendor management, pricing negotiations, RFP design, and maintaining key monthly reporting.  The ideal candidate should be reliable, have 1-2 years of prior purchasing/buyer experience, excellent organizational skills and intermediate excel skills.

Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for sourcing, evaluating and negotiating pricing with suppliers to acquire all Tachus Inventory Goods.
  • Includes researching vendors, gathering quotes or administering annual RFP’s, tracking inventory and ensuring timely delivery of all Open PO’s.
• Act as liaison between Tachus & Suppliers utilizing strong and timely written and verbal communication skills.
• Maintain Centralized Contract Repository and take action with internal stakeholders to support contract renewals
• Work with Purchasing Director and/or Inventory Operations Support Manager to execute upon any required market research, pricing trendlines, commodity forecasts, or cost analysis.
• Run & Review “Daily Inventory Status Reporting” to act upon all Inventory Reorder points.
  • Evaluate & Recommend Sourcing of required product and process “buy” requisitions.
• Maintain Accurate Vendor Lead Times for all product on Inventory
• Monitor and analyze assigned market trends and research industry suppliers
• Maintain accurate records of purchases and expenses
  • Maintain accurate lead times for all suppliers / all inventory part #’s
• Have basic project management skills to manage multiple projects at one time
• Accurately input data related to Inventory purchases into the Purchasing & Inventory ERP system
• Responsible for running and delivering key weekly/monthly reporting:
  • Open PO Reports
  • Received Not Invoiced Reporting
  • Project Management BOM Demand and BOM Remaining Reporting
  • Inventory Reorder Point Monitoring
  • Etc.
• Accurately input data related to received products into the inventory management system.
• Participate in training sessions and meetings as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or experience in purchasing or warehouse management is a plus.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products and intermediate excel skills
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new processes and tasks as required.
• Strong work ethic and reliability, with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
• Positive attitude
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
