Tahoe Donner Association is looking for a Human Resources Assistant to join our Human Resources team! The HR assistant provides administrative and operational support to the HR department, assisting with tasks like recruitment, onboarding, employee record maintenance, and payroll processing, all while ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures. This position reports to the Human Resources Manager and Human Resources Supervisor.
This is a Seasonal opportunity with a schedule of Monday - Friday from 10:15am - 4:45pm. The position is scheduled to conclude in September or October, depending on workload and demand.

Essential Functions

- Provide excellent customer service to employees, members, guests, business partners.
- Assist in the recording and entering of employee information such as personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, personnel changes, and termination date and reason.
- Assists with posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Coordinates onboarding processes for new hires, including paperwork.
- Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provide information to authorized persons (i.e., EDD, Verifications of employment, etc.).
- Update, organize and file paperwork as needed.
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to the HR department, such as answering phone calls, managing emails, and handling paperwork.
- May assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, and distributing checks.
- Assists with employee events such as appreciation and wellness events.
- Other duties as assigned by Human Resource Manager, Human Resources Supervisor and/or senior management.
