Backup Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backup Administrator to join our dynamic team. The Backup Administrator will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our clients' data through the implementation and management of backup systems and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and monitor backup solutions to ensure the consistent and reliable backup of critical data.
• Perform regular backups of systems, databases, and applications according to established schedules.
• Evaluate and recommend backup solutions that align with industry best practices and meet the specific needs of the organization.
• Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures to minimize data loss in the event of system failures or disasters.
• Conduct regular tests and audits of backup systems to verify data integrity and availability.
• Work closely with IT teams to troubleshoot backup-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define backup requirements and implement appropriate strategies to meet business objectives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Backup Administrator or a similar role in a corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of backup and recovery concepts, methodologies, and tools.
• Experience with backup software such as Veritas NetBackup, Veeam, Commvault, or similar platforms.
• Solid understanding of storage technologies, data deduplication, and encryption techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
