Talascend is currently seeking a Proposal Strategist for a contract opportunity in Kansas City, MO.
SUMMARY :
The Proposal Strategist is responsible for developing the proposal plan, the Request For Proposal (RFP) release, and the entire process, including the end game and checkmate for assigned business development proposals to win work for the company. This position will conduct proposal development efforts in collaboration with business development and project management leadership to create distinctive value propositions that enhance our clients' competitive positions.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Develop the proposal plan, draft storyboards, develop the proposal and win strategy, assign proposal team responsibilities, and create the initial proposal management plan.
- Perform Pink Team reviews and adjust marketing materials based on review feedback and requests.
- Lead the review of the go / no-go decision, conduct the official proposal kickoff meeting, and oversee the development of graphics and visuals.
- Perform post-submittal activities, including interviews during the checkmate phase.
- Develop a negotiated contract outline and deliver proposal services during the checkmate phase.
- Support the development of key metrics, including change orders, safety, budget, schedule, diversity goals, and community involvement activities.
- Assist with the closing of project deliverables.
- Assist with submissions for industry awards (e.g., ACEC, ENR) and for local or national trade publications.
- Attend professional associations, conferences, and trade shows, including booth setup and preparation.
- Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all company policies and standards.
