What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Chemist position at TalentBridge?
Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Process Development & Optimization:
- Develop and refine chemical processes to improve efficiency, yield, and safety.
- Optimize reaction conditions, raw material selection, and process parameters for production.
- Troubleshoot and resolve process deviations, quality issues, and scaling challenges.
🔹 Analytical Testing & Quality Control:
- Conduct chemical analysis using HPLC, GC, spectroscopy, titration, and other analytical techniques.
- Monitor process performance and product consistency, making data-driven recommendations.
- Collaborate with the quality team to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
🔹 Scale-Up & Manufacturing Support:
- Assist in the transition from lab-scale to pilot and full-scale production.
- Provide technical support to production teams for troubleshooting and process improvements.
- Work with equipment vendors and suppliers to enhance process capabilities.
🔹 Regulatory & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
- Maintain and update SOPs, safety data sheets (SDS), and regulatory documentation.
- Identify and implement process safety improvements to minimize risk.
🔹 Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
- Work closely with R&D, engineering, and production teams to implement new technologies.
- Lead or participate in process improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Stay up to date on industry advancements, new materials, and emerging technologies.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in process chemistry, chemical manufacturing, or related industries.
- Hands-on experience with chemical synthesis, reaction optimization, and process troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with analytical instruments and techniques for quality control.
Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
