We are seeking an experienced Senior Revenue Accountant to oversee revenue recognition processes, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support financial reporting functions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in revenue accounting, and the ability to work cross-functionally with finance, sales, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee revenue recognition in compliance with GAAP (ASC 606) and company policies.
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports related to revenue transactions.
- Analyze revenue streams and ensure accurate and timely revenue reporting.
- Assist in month-end and quarter-end close processes, including variance analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve revenue processes and controls.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with accounting policies for revenue contracts.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to inquiries.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve revenue forecasting and reporting.
- Maintain and improve revenue-related internal controls and accounting procedures.
- Assist with special projects, process automation, and system improvements as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting -Required . CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
- 3 years of experience in revenue accounting, financial reporting, or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition), and SOX compliance.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in SaaS, technology, or subscription-based business models.
- Knowledge of deferred revenue and contract accounting.
- Experience with data visualization and financial modeling tools.
