Preschool Teacher Assistant

We are seeking preschool teacher's assistants to help lead teachers! We are looking for experienced childcare teacher assistants but are willing to help train those that are not!

Responsibilities

• Help the lead teacher implement and plan weekly lessons
• Help supervise them in all activities - including outdoor play
• Help feed them (lunch, snacks)
• Be able to communicate with children one-on-one or small group settings in a calm way
• Help the lead teacher to guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.)
• Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
• Communicate with parents and staff regularly
• Colloborate and support other teachers in the building
• Help the lead teacher maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
• Should be prepared to take on the role of a lead teacher when needed

Skills

• Must have a positive attitude and calm demeanor
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
• Excellent communication and instructional skills
• Ability to act as mediator between children
• Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable
• Must be willing to become certified in First Aid'
