Overview
TalentoHC is partnering with a category-leading Consumer Packaged Goods company to find an HR Manager to lead HR initiatives for a manufacturing facility. The HR Manager will develop HR programs aligned with company goals and will collaborate with management to drive business results while providing HR advisory services to employees. This role requires relocation to Quitman, Mississippi, with relocation assistance provided. The HR Manager will lead and oversee employee relations, benefits plans/leave, HR policies and procedures, onboarding and termination, HRIS implementation, employee performance programs, training/development, and safety/health programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies, procedures, and policies that align with business objectives.
- Support and provide HR insights and recommendations to the site leadership team.
- Ensure effective new hire training and ongoing communications about safety and quality issues.
- Utilize root cause analysis and/or other process improvement methodologies to address HR issues.
- Ensure effective employee communication and engagement strategies.
- Oversee the evaluation and administration of all compensation and benefits programs.
- Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and growth.
- Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive company culture.
- Understand and ensure the organization’s compliance with local, state, and federal HR/employment-related laws and regulations, such as FMLA, FLSA, ADA, etc.
- Utilize HRIS to generate reports, analyze data, and interpret results.
- Review/approve payroll submissions.
- Create reports, documents, presentations, and spreadsheets on HR-related information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, and 5 years of progressive HR experience; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or other relevant HR certifications are a plus.
- Solid knowledge of HR principles/practices and understanding of key HR metrics.
- Skilled in organizational development, employee relations, training/onboarding, and termination.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to be accessible and approachable for employees.
- Knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations such as FMLA, FLSA, ADA, etc.
- Strong presentation, organizational, and analytical skills.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and technologies.
- Advanced experience using Microsoft Office.
