Qualification and Experience
- Experience in similar function of not less than 2 years.
- Basic knowledge of petrochemical industry.
- Experience in dedicated onsite logistics (preferable).
- Highly dependable and punctual.
- Great communication skills.
- Knowledgeable in the application of MS-Office and other common software.
- Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction and pass any medical examination associated with the use of said PPE.
- 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S., have a valid driver’s license, pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.
- High school diploma/GED required
- Ensure the execution of the standards set by the customer.
- Coordinate development and implementation of SOP’s and work instructions.
- Implement and control quality measures.
- Lead, assist, and administer the claims, complaints, and non-conformity processes, as well as report non-conformities to the client.
- Overseeing field activities related to subordinates.
- Main contact for Quality and Sea Bulk concerns.
- Investigate quality deviations and report to Operations Manager.
- Communicate daily with Board Operators and S&D Planners about Sea Bulk Production.
- Prepare monthly quality reports.
- Perform audit (scheduled/silent hours) fortnightly/monthly.
- Promote quality awareness among the employees.
- Oversees the training for Reach Stacker, Industrial Forklift Operators, and other subordinates
- Develop and implement corrective actions.
- Organise and record regular ‘toolbox’ talks with all operational staff.
- Coordinate measuring of safety, quality, and work performance.
- Confirms daily that staffing is adequate for Sea Bulk Operators and the Container Yard.
- Communicates with Inbound as needed about appropriate staffing when bulking.
- Communicates daily with the Drayage department about inbound and outbound containers.
- Verifies daily Inventory accuracy for container yard.
- Oversees/schedules P.M.’s and maintenance on the Reach Stacker and Industrial Forklift, as needed.
- Works with maintenance on any improvements in the Sea Bulk loading area.
- Responds to calls day and night responding to Sea Bulk issues, questions, or concerns.
- Organize all LPS and SSW activities monthly.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
- Able to work outside in variable weather conditions including high temperature summer months.
- Knowledge of service levels expected by clients and able to deliver accordingly.
- Familiar with and able to work with the company’s Quality, Sea Bulk, and other policies.
- Multi-tasking with good ability to prioritize tasks, able to manage own working time effectively.
- Ability to work with deadlines.
- Ability to work and communicate with multiple departments in operations.
- Ability to work independently and have the drive to take the initiative if direct supervision is not available on a constant basis.
- Strong verbal, written communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to efficiently manage workload.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a highly fast-paced environment.
