TAMKO Building Products LLC is seeking an Engineering Manager at our Knoxville, Tennessee facility. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for working closely with the Maintenance Manager and Operations Manager to prioritize efforts for continuous improvement. This role focuses on driving automation and process improvements while engaging in the daily challenges of operating a manufacturing line. The Engineering Manager will support maintenance initiatives, enhance production efficiency, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards. We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager who can support and enhance our plant’s operational performance while fostering a collaborative and safe work environment.

- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager and Operations Manager to prioritize and implement continuous improvement projects.
- Continuously seek new technologies and drive automation efforts to improve the facilities performance and efficiency. Create and foster a “learning" environment within the engineering group, and on the plant floor.
- Engage in the daily challenges of operating a manufacturing line, providing technical support and problem-solving expertise.
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability initiatives.
- Manage external contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with project requirements and safety protocols.
- Develop and track project budgets and timelines, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with plant safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the plant.
- Communicate effectively with plant personnel, senior management, and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Electrical engineer is preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Management experience is preferred
- Project management experience is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of maintenance practices and reliability engineering principles.
- Proficiency in using engineering software and project management tools.
