Participants are given the unique opportunity to contribute to the organization's success while receiving an unparalleled, behind-the-scenes learning experience. The program is comprised of a comprehensive and flexible strategy that allows recent graduates to build upon their educational foundation in order to define, evaluate and achieve a variety of career-related objectives.
Interns are placed within a specific department and encouraged to explore all aspects of the business of professional football through various outreach programs, networking events, and via our Internship Learning Series. Interns will learn from and establish relationships with team executives that will benefit their lives both personally and professionally.
This is an hourly position starting July 14, 2025, through June 26, 2026. Interns are expected to commit to the full term of the internship.

Job Summary:
The Player and Family Engagement Intern is responsible for developing positive relationships between families and the Buccaneers organization. This role involves connecting families with resources and information, addressing concerns, and ensuring open communication channels between the organization and families. The Player and Family Engagement Intern also plays a key role in promoting family engagement and advocating for the needs and rights of families. Assisting Player Engagement staff with player programming and Rookie Academy and all other programs throughout the year having to do with player development.

- Establish and maintain positive relationships with families served by the Buccaneers organization.
- Serve as a point of contact for families and address their concerns, needs and questions.
- Connect families with appropriate resources and information, such as community services, education and training opportunities, and counseling services.
- Quarterly newsletters for significant others
- Facilitate communication between families and the organization, including providing updates on events, activities, and initiatives.
- Collaborate with staff to build projects and events for family and significant others
- Organize and lead family engagement activities, such as workshops, support groups, and social events.
- Collect and analyze data on family needs and concerns to inform program development and improvement.
- Manage and maintain post-game family area
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, education, sports administration or a related field.
- Experience working with families in a community-based setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of individuals and groups.
- Knowledge of community resources and services.
- Familiarity with laws and regulations related to family rights and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills a plus.
- The Buccaneers are a professional, fast-paced, creative business environment.
- Extended evening and weekend work hours are sometimes required. You are required to work all home and some away games (some travel is expected). You may have to work occasional holidays.
- High-intensity work environment in executing deliverables on short deadlines.
- Computer and desk work a significant part of daily activities.
