R&D Operations Lead

At Tandem PV we are a team of people who are passionate about building a more sustainable world by bringing more cost effective solar panels onto the market. We’re scaling metal-halide perovskite solar technology to make best-in-class mechanically stacked tandem modules. We have built efficient, durable cells, monolithic multi-cell submodules, and packaged modules with our scalable, low-cost process. Our next focus is expanding our team and building a pilot manufacturing facility. Sounds like a lot, right? It is, and that’s why we need you to join the team!

In this critical role, you will project manage a teams of engineers and technicians in our R&D laboratory to execute and organize R&D projects. You will be working closely with team leads to help set a path towards manufacturing of perovskite panels.

To Stand Out In This Role, You Will

• Manage workflows for R&D operations at Tandem PV including:
• Experiment planning and logistics
• Coordination between deposition and metrology teams
• Consumables stock and availability
• Equipment downtime and maintenance planning
• Contingency planning and operational resilience
• Drive continuous improvement for equipment, process, and employee productivity
• Identify options for capital investment to release throughput bottlenecks
• Work with quality team to track and manage quality control inputs
• Manage personnel strengths and weaknesses
• Track team progress against KPIs
• Manage the team’s project priorities to align with the company's goals.
• Develop and execute on project plans
