Essential Functions
- Define and drive the overall cloud strategy, aligning with the organization’s business objectives.
- Establish cloud policies, governance frameworks, and best practices to optimize cost, security, and performance across all cloud environments.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and management of cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability.
- Lead incident management, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning in the cloud environment.
- Continuously improve monitoring, alerting, and automation processes to ensure smooth day-to-day cloud operations.
- Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers, administrators, and operations staff, fostering a high-performance, collaborative environment.
- Implement cost-control measures, track cloud consumption, and ensure optimal use of cloud resources.
- Lead initiatives for vulnerability management, risk assessments, and incident response in the cloud environment.
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to stay ahead of evolving regulations and industry standards.
- Drive continuous improvement through automation, containerization (e.g., Kubernetes), Infrastructure as code (IaC) and DevOps practices.
