Anesthesia Technologist

A recognized healthcare provider in Syracuse, NY is looking to add a new Anesthesia Technologist to their growing team.

About the Opportunity :

  • Start Date : ASAP
  • Assignment Length : 13-week contract (possibility of extension)
  • Shift : Days or Nights
  • Setting : Acute Care
  • EMR : Epic

Responsibilities :

  • Perform room turns and prepare rooms for cases, including invasive procedures
  • Troubleshoot different makes and models of anesthesia machines
  • Assist with invasive procedures, arterial lines, CVC placement and thermos-dilution catheter placement
  • Order supplies and restock rooms & carts, as directed
  • Perform other duties, as needed

    • Qualifications :

  • Graduate of an approved accreditation program or Anesthesia Technology
  • National ASATT certification as an Anesthesia Technologist
  • CPR / BLS certification
  • Knowledge of Infection Control practices as it relates to Anesthesiology equipment and supplies
  • Knowledgeable about reprocessing methods, aseptic and sterile techniques and can apply to setting up and assisting with sterile trays

    • Desired Skills :

  • 3 years of related work experience
  • Experience working in Level 1 Trauma Center
  • Experience working with the Epics EMRs
