A professional services firm in New Jersey is currently seeking a new Paralegal to join their growing team. In this role, the Paralegal will be responsible for supporting the Attorneys by managing a variety of tasks related to case preparation, legal research, and document management.
About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: Temp to Perm
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8:30am to 5:00pm
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant statutes, and other legal information
- Draft legal documents such as pleadings, discovery, and correspondence
- Prepare case summaries, reports, and analyses for attorney review and clients
- Assist in the preparation of trial documents, exhibits, and witness lists
- Organize and maintain legal files, ensuring compliance with firm protocols and legal standards
- File legal documents with courts and maintain records of court filings
- Manage case calendars, including court dates, deadlines, and attorney meetings
- Support attorneys for hearings, meetings and trial preparation
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience within a Law firm and/or Legal setting
- Bachelor's Degree
- Computer savvy
- Strong understanding of Legal processes to ensure the efficient handling of cases
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
Desired Skills:
- Paralegal certification
- Real Estate exposure
