As a Director of Inventory Management Operations (Solutions) use your skills, experience and talents to be a part of groundbreaking thinking and visionary goals for a number of strategic programs throughout Operations at Target. You’ll be responsible for leading a directorship of ~24 team members (including three Senior Managers), and engaging with CFT partners across Operations, Merchandising, and Technology.
Job Requirements:
- You will champion team by building and developing a high performing, diverse, and engaged team. This role has 3 direct reports and a total directorship of 24 team members.
- You will engage with key partners across Operations (Store and Supply Chain Field & HQ teams) to drive inventory health across our network of stores and distribution centers.
- You will partner closely with Core Inventory Management leadership and team members to drive continuous improvement, key performance metrics, and special initiatives.
- You will collaborate closely with leaders across Global Inventory Management in support of events, transitions, special projects, and other initiatives, serving as a primary interface between Core IM leaders and IM Ops.
- You will lead proactive and reactive problem solving initiatives throughout the supply chain to support inventory health metrics, taking partners across the enterprise as needed to align Merchandising and Supply Chain teams.
- You will champion process excellence across IM teams, partnering closely with GIM’s Training team to identify and address knowledge gaps.
- You will help lead the advancement and adoption of modern replenishment capabilities across Inventory Management.
- You will drive the vision, roadmap, and execution of select Inventory Management capabilities.
About you:
- 5 years of relevant experience in Inventory Management, Merchandising and/or Supply Chain management.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships across various teams and levels of leadership
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across a wide range of stakeholders
- Flexibility, resiliency and nimbleness; comfortable working in “grey areas” that are constantly changing
- Ability to impact, develop, train, and influence others
- Strong analytical skills including ability to translate data into insights and coach/mentor talent to leverage data to solve problems.
- Curiosity with a desire to learn and innovate
- Ability to breakdown complex problems and develop sustainable solutions in collaboration with SMEs
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and prioritize effectively for direct reports.
- Ability to set a vision for the team and develop clear milestones and metrics to track progress against goals
- Direct experience with Inventory Management systems or leading inventory management teams preferred.
This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that’s not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.
Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $113,800 to $204,900.
