What are the responsibilities and job description for the System/Patient Navigator - Alternatives to Incarceration Program position at Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc?
This Navigator position is working closely with the Los Angeles Police Department, Long Beach Police Department and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office. This program is an Alternative to Incarceration Program that will help minor offenders with mental health and substance use disorders get proper treatment versus jail time. This patient navigator will work closely with the police departments, along with the mental health and substance use disorder programs at TTC. Position is a fulltime position with benefits, and will work out of the county/city jail or intake area, and be on call to support this program. Patient Navigators will respond to interview possible candidates for SUD programs that meet the approved, non violent criteria, and connect them with transportation to TTC to enroll in their appropriate program.
Ideal Applicant would have knowledge of mental health and substance use disorders, along with high school diploma, support the idea of alternatives of incarceration program, be able to communicate well and work with law enforcement officials.
