Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented bookkeeper or account manager to lead project quoting, purchasing, tracking, final deliveries and installations. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the interior design industry's best practices and able to update and maintain accurate financial data to keep projects within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist design team in receiving quotes from vendors and contractors.
- Collaborate with design team to track project costs and budgets.
- Generate client proposals in interior design software.
- Initiate and track all orders; must be able to use tracking software or have own proven system for tracking and delivery.
- Issue Purchase Orders and Invoices either in QuickBooks or Studio Designer
Other Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple projects simultaneously.
- Monitor budgets, expenses, and revenues to ensure financial health.
- Prepare, process and ensure accuracy of purchase orders and invoices.
- Have reliable transportation in case needed for pick ups, returns, receiving deliveries or attend client meetings with Design Team.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or account manager, preferably in the interior design industry.
- Proficient in QuickBooks.
- Proficiency in Studio Designer, Ivy or other interior design industry procurement software is ideal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of interior design accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Associates or bachelor degree in Accounting or Interior Design is preferred.
- English required; Spanish is ideal.
