About this Role
Taylor’s Construction is looking for a motivated candidate to fill this position in the Chilhowie, VA area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the support of Taylor’s regional offices in the Virgina and West Virginia areas. The candidate should be comfortable with the fast-paced, high-energy environment that has brought us the success we enjoy and the growth we anticipate.
The IT Support Analyst is responsible for providing personal computing (HW), software (SW), operational system (OS), Application (APP), mobile connectivity & associated peripherals focused service request fulfillment, incident resolution, asset lifecycle and client relationship management services. This individual must have strong interpersonal skills working with personnel from all levels of the organization, in person, via phone and in writing. This person must have excellent problem-solving skills with experience supporting several IT platforms.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the first point of contact for end-users with technical issues.
- Work with users to evaluate and solve technical problems.
- Setup new computers, users, printers, software installations. (BlueBeam, Google Earth, O365, etc.)
- Assist with new site setups. (Routers, Firewall, Switch, Rack, Modem)
- Prioritizes his or her daily tasks based on severity and volume of workload and deliverables.
- Use a ticketing system to track, document, and resolve support requests.
- Enter and maintain inventory and support data.
- The ability to do the following for an extended period: sit, crawl, stoop and climb ladders.
- After-hours support and implementation as needed.
What You'll Bring
- Associate’s degree or 1 year of equivalent professional experience.
- Must maintain current knowledge of industry trends and potential impact on the support business.
- Ability to work professionally with executive management-level customers and with other office personnel in person and by telephone in sometimes challenging situations.
- Solid understanding of:
- Windows OS and Microsoft Office Suite
- Active Directory (Accounts, Groups, Group Policies, OUs)
- Network and cloud-based applications
- Exchange/Outlook and mobile device management (iOS/Android)
- Excellent English communication and documentation skills.
- Excellent customer service skills, especially over the phone.
- Must be able to work independently at times & comfortable with a team environment, do not be afraid to ask for help.
- Ability to travel up to 20%
- Ability to lift and carry 50lb
