Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients, carriers, and vendors.
- Negotiate rates and contracts with customers and carriers to ensure competitive pricing and profitable margins.
- Coordinate all aspects of shipments, including tracking, scheduling, and compliance with international shipping regulations.
- Identify new opportunities for business growth based on industry knowledge and market trends
- Promptly respond to inquiries to resolve any issues that arise during the shipment process.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure smooth and timely deliveries.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in freight brokerage, with a focus on international freight shipping and intermodal transport.
- Proven success in managing a portfolio of clients and driving business growth.
- Strong knowledge of international, national shipping regulations, customs requirements, and intermodal transportation processes.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to thrive in a working environment and manage tasks independently.
- Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.
