This role requires a strong leader with a passion for journalism, a deep understanding of the news landscape, and the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of journalists.Responsibilities : Oversee the daily news operations, ensuring the highest standards of journalistic integrity and accuracy.Develop and implement innovative story ideas and formats that resonate with our audience.Collaborate closely with senior producers, line producers, anchors, reporters, and technical production crew to create engaging, timely, and relevant content.Work closely with the management team to establish and uphold the highest standards of news quality, ensuring cohesive editorial vision and consistency across all platforms.Manage and mentor a team of producers, fostering a culture of creativity and accountability.Work with the digital team to enhance the reach and impact of our news stories with a digital-first mindset.Analyze ratings, audience feedback, and engagement metrics to align with station's strategic plan.Requirements : Minimum 5 years industry experience as a news producer and as a newsroom leader.Solid journalistic judgement and a news philosophy that emphasizes accurate, fair, and diverse local content.Ability to calmly handle live, breaking news, and changing events with the ability to work under constant deadlines.Ability to work a flexible shift, including holidays, mornings, evenings, and weekends as news warrants.Knowledge of AP ENPS, Edius, and content management systems a plus.Pay Range : $92,000 - $102,000 USDTEGNA offers comprehensive benefits designed to safeguard the physical, mental and financial health of our employees and their families.
