• Recruit & hire team members who align with company culture by writing job descriptions, posting open roles, screening resumes, and conducting initial interviews.
• Build relationships with local schools and colleges to create a pipeline of future talent.
• Oversee onboarding, ensure new hires transition smoothly, and complete all 60-day, 90-day, and annual reviews.
• Administer employee benefits accurately and efficiently while coordinating with payroll, including new hire benefits and open enrollment.
• Stay current on labor laws, employment regulations, and company policies to ensure compliance; assist management with handbook updates.
• Maintain organized & accurate employee records and properly document performance reviews, safety incidents, and disciplinary actions.
• Plan & coordinate employee events and outings upon request.
• Run occasional errands for employee-related needs, such as picking up food for team gatherings.
• Work full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch. Some local travel is required for job fairs.

We partner with small family farms to source, process, and distribute high-quality organic and free-range eggs, cheese, and butter. We seek an HR Generalist to help strengthen our workplace culture while managing key HR functions, including recruiting, onboarding, and supporting our team's development. This role ensures fair and accurate pay, benefits, and compliance administration while reinforcing the company's commitment to its values. Our Ideal HR Generalist:

• Experienced: At least one year of experience in HR or a related field, including expertise in administering benefit packages, is preferred. A high school diploma or GED, SHRM certification, or a college degree are also required.
• Tech-savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Organized & Detailed: Manages multiple responsibilities efficiently, ensuring accuracy and consistency in HR tasks.
• Self-motivated & Efficient: Take initiative, manage time effectively, and keep tasks on track with minimal supervision.
• Trustworthy & Confidential: Handles sensitive information with integrity, honesty, and discretion.
• Respectful & Humble: Approaches interactions with kindness, professionalism, and a team-oriented mindset.
• Adaptable & Resilient: Works efficiently in a busy office setting with frequent interruptions, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining focus.
• Physically Capable: Spends extended hours sitting, using office equipment, and occasionally lifting supplies.
