Job Summary:
Under direct supervision, performs paraprofessional accounting and fiscal control functions for the accounts payable and Payroll section.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepares and enters vouchers for payment in the TeamWorks system
- Processes a high volume of direct billing for employee lodging through Concur
- Communicates with hotel vendors regarding employee reservations, invoices, renewal of direct bill contracts, etc.
- Reconciles direct bill and related travel expenses
- Resolves invoice rejections relating to PO discrepancies, invalid account segments, and other accounting errors
- Reviews, codes, and posts transactions
- Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED and three (3) years of job-related accounting or fiscal experience.
- Or one (1) year of experience at the lower-level Accounting Technician 1 (FIT020) or position equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants that, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess one or more of the following:
- Experience and knowledge in the use of TeamWorks Financials
- Experience with State of Georgia Concur application
- State of Georgia accounting experience, with emphasis in accounts payable
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Advanced-level Microsoft Office experience
