Event Executive
Hourly Rate : $43.50 / hr
Work Arrangement : Hybrid / Remote
Will work from a CRM
Required to come to our office for meetings once a week
Available for training on Zoom
Duties & Responsibilities
Meet with sponsors to identify objectives and jointly determine strategy for achieving objectives
Work with the event program team on delegate acquisition and engagement
Call prospective executive attendees to promote sign-up for events
Utilize Salesforce or similar CRM system
Demonstrate ability to be a great team mate and work independently
Set up, test, and operate audiovisual and IT equipment; provide direction during rehearsals and events
Provide testing and troubleshooting for IT and AV Equipment
Conduct post-event follow-up
Experience with Analog Way and FSR / Folsom production video switchers, matrices, converters, recording, and playback gear
Qualifications
Two to three years of experience in either industry, Hospitality, Management, Marketing, Tourism, Business, Business / Administration, Communications, Event Management, Communication, or Education
Bachelor's degree required or 5 years of experience working as an event executive
Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) certification
Licensing or Certifications
PMP, CMP, AED, CPR, CTS, CCNA
Skills
Contract management and legalities
Current trends in event management and event technology
Event technology products and services
Food presentation and banquet and event service operations
Menu planning
Overall hotel operations as they affect department
Meetings & event management
Salesforce CRM systems (an advantage but not essential)
Basic marketing and advertising skills to design small advertisements with advertising agency
Catering and event management systems
Desired Experience
Demonstrated ability to work proactively
High energy with strong service orientation
Flexibility in work schedule and ability to travel extensively
