Role: Wheel & Wheel Trim Engineer
Location: Southfield, Michigan
Role:
Responsible for designing and developing wheels, wheel trim, inserts, and center caps from concept to production. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish requirements, conduct DFMEAs/DVPs, and manage virtual and physical validation testing. Work closely with suppliers, design studio, CAE, and validation teams to ensure high-quality, production-ready designs.
Qualifications:
- Experience in wheel and trim design from concept to production
- Strong 3D CAD skills and GD&T knowledge
- Hands-on prototype assembly experience
- Expertise in supplier selection, system integration, and project leadership
- Experience with design release, engineering change management, and project management
