Shipping & Receiving Coordinator
Location: In-office Nashville, TN
Technology Lab is a Managed Service Provider for K-12 charter and independent schools throughout the US. We are seeking a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to work in our Nashville-based office. Must have 6 - 12 months of experience in procurement and shipping and receiving experience preferably in the technology industry.
This position plays a crucial role in our supply chain management, ensuring efficient shipping and receiving operations while supporting procurement activities.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute shipping and receiving activities, including preparing and processing shipments, receiving deliveries, and verifying incoming and outgoing materials.
- Prepare and process shipments to clients for IT hardware and other items, and work with UPS/FedEx to ensure the company is getting the most aggressive pricing.
- Maintain accurate inventory system, tracking product movement and storage.
- Collaborate with team members: work closely with other departments, such as procurement and customer service, to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders. Communicate effectively to resolve any shipment related issues or discrepancies.
- Monitor and analyze shipping and receiving data to identify areas for process improvement, cost reduction, and increased operational efficiency.
- Assist in the creation, review, and processing of purchase orders for IT hardware, software, and licenses. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure accurate specifications, pricing, and delivery timeliness.
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining inventory levels of IT equipment, ensuring adequate stock for ongoing projects and client needs.
- Maintain a strong relationship with suppliers, monitoring their performance, and addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – Strong Excel skills
- Ability to interact at all levels of management internally, and with customers and suppliers.
- Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Looking for problems to solve, not waiting for someone to tell you what to do.
- Excellent follow-through, taking initiative and not requiring much direction.
- Impeccable attendance record.
