Position: User Experience Marketability Engineer

Description:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Industrial, Biomedical, or Human Factors Engineering, Human Computing interaction, Human centered design engineering. The test engineer will be responsible for cross carline benchmarking to provide recommendations to standardize parts and logic to the global teams, target setting for Infotainment and Connected Car features, testing to confirm customer acceptance of Infotainment and Connected Car systems, and understanding US customer requirements from a holistic vehicle ownership experience. Interest in data analysis is mandatory to ensure the voice of the customer is considered for decision making. The applicant should be very comfortable using Microsoft Excel and be able to learn new formulas. Experience with Python/Visual Basic (or similar programming language) is a plus. The test engineer will support a variety of projects and will be required to report results in a clear and concise manner with facts, data, and benchmarking
Job Description
Job functions include but are not limited to:
Statistical analysis and significance testing of client and 3rdparty customer data.
Supporting design and test engineering with data collection and results analysis.
Ability to present project updates & summary reports within design and test engineering.
1. Job Knowledge and Skills:
Self-motivated and effective communicator with a strong interest in emerging technologies and the ability to create and deliver presentations to push new ideas through the company.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
2. Education:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Industrial, Biomedical, or Human Factors Engineering, Human Computing interaction, Human centered design engineering.
Notes
3days per week onsite, but the expectation is for more when they are training/coming up to speed
T-W-TH onsite are the typical days, but flexibility required to get the job done

This group works to develop new technology from customer point of view, clear customer benefit, and they do research to support that goal.
Research experience will be important – someone who has done an actual task either at school or work.
Research project does not need to be in automotive, but they need to be able to do the research.
VB and Python will be a plus, the role is more research based but a candidate with this experience will be given preference over someone without.
