Techwish is looking for a UI/UX Designer for a Remote position with one of our direct clients in Herndon, VA. Locals are strongly preferred. Pls apply if you are interested in this opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Design and improve the overall user experience for enterprise digital products, ensuring accessibility, usability, and satisfaction.
- Schedule and conduct UX research with internal and external to gather insights and identify user needs and pain points.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for digital products using tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to design and implement solutions that meet business goals and user needs.
- Present and defend design decisions based on user research, design principles, and industry best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest UX research, tools, and technologies.
- Develop and maintain design systems and guidelines to ensure product consistency.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accessibility standards and practices.
- Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), UX, Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5 years of experience in UX design, with a portfolio showcasing successful projects.
- Strong proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Experience with user testing, research, and analysis methods, such as surveys, interviews, and usability testing.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards such as WCAG, Section 508, etc.
- Knowledge of inclusive design practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote team and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, JS Frameworks (e.g. React/Angular) and other web technologies is a plus.
