The experienced Pro Audio Sales Representative develops relationships with customers by demonstrating product knowledge and expertise in all things audio. By using the proper sales techniques, the representative will be able to demonstrate and answer all questions to close the sale.

We are a local company with locations in Tacoma, Puyallup, Richland Yakima, Silverdale, and Seattle. This has provided us with statewide name recognition and a leader for kids and adult music lessons.
Essential functions
- Assist customers in their purchase of sound equipment, keyboards, pro audio equipment, software, and all retail sales
- Must have experience with mixers and lighting
- Must have product knowledge and sales training
- Must strive to self-educate on product knowledge and customer satisfaction
- Aid customers in instrument rentals
- Originate, maintain, and update customer contact lists
- Follow up with customers by phone, e-mail, or snail mail after each sale which is essential for return business
- Inventory merchandising and restocking
- Project support and completion through teamwork
- Build and retain interpersonal relationships with customers, vendors, and Ted Brown Music employees
- Support operational and sales goals
Competencies
- Strong sales background required preferably in Pro Audio equipment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication skills
- Spanish speaking a plus
- Knowledge of all things musical
Skills and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years experience preferred in a sales environment with knowledge of sound equipment and musical instruments
- Ability to work in a fast paced work environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Must be friendly, outgoing, energetic, assertive, and self-directed
- Ability to be on your feet for an eight hour shift, lift up to 40 pounds, and climb ladders
- Competent in cash handling
- Ability to complete sales transaction accurately and efficiently after training on POS system

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional retail environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers/scanners.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires moving around on the sales floor meeting and speaking with customers. It requires routine use of a POS system. While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, point, type and maneuver promotional items. The employee must also frequently lift and / or move items over 40 pounds. The working condition may be loud; due to consistent demonstrating of musical instruments and pro-audio equipment.
Additional Pay Benefit
Full-time employees start earning 3% commission on a monthly basis upon hire. Part-time employee will begin to earn 3% commission the first of the month following your 90-day introductory period.
PTO Benefits
Part-time employees receive only sick leave at the rate of 1 hours per every 40 hours worked. No other benefits will become available unless the employee is moved to full-time. Full-time employees will also receive sick leave at the same rate. In addition, full time employees will receive 1 week of vacation accrued at the rate of 1.54 hours each pay period for two years. After the two-year anniversary occurs, employees will accrue 3.08 hours each pay period or two weeks of vacation each year. Once the employee reaches 7 years, vacation time will be accrued at 4.62 hours per pay period or three weeks per year. Sick leave and vacation time can be used as accrued with no waiting period.

In addition to your salary, Ted Brown Music offers a competitive benefit package of medical, vision, voluntary dental, 401K, six paid holidays, sick leave, and one week vacation. Eligible dependents can be added to all medical for an additional cost. You will become eligible for benefits the first of the month following 60 days of full-time employment.
